Summary:
SlingshotSMS is a SMS gateway that can send and receive text messages on behalf of a web application. SlingshotSMS can be run off of a USB drive, needing only a GSM modem and an internet connection to act as a bridge between mobile phones and the web. It is used in combination with Managing News (see above) to map and visualize in real-time SMS messages.
